A Note From Our Founder

“Today not everyone understands the importance of hard work, which is something I do. As the founder of UpFire, it starts with me. Driving growth and success for our clients is all I care about. I’ve been in marketing for over 15 years now, so I have seen everything. I have worked for several agencies along the way that made big promises, but never delivered the value. That’s why UpFire was conceived; No bullshit straight-up, results-driven SEO that drives real business outcomes”

Learn more about what it is like to work with us

How did UpFire get started?

Our founder, Jordan, thought it was time for a change after a strong and successful digital marketing history. Jordan envisioned an SEO agency that didn't rely on cheap tricks or snake-oil selling. He wanted to build a brand that cared deeply about customers, work, and outcomes. UpFire embodies those ideals.

What makes UpFire different from other agencies?

We analyze each website to formulate a plan of action, then use technology to help us cost-effectively execute the plan. When you work with UpFire, you don't have to worry about the long-term health of your website – no shady tactics, schemes, link farms, and other nasty plus harmful approaches to SEO.

Where can I see examples of work UpFire has done?

All you have to do is get in touch with us to request a demo. We’ll share case studies from past clients and show you exactly how we’re going to turn your website into a hot zone for traffic.

Does Upfire require a contract?

Absolutely not. All services are month-to-month – we earn our keep here, UpFire.

Does UpFire guarantee results?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is optimizing web pages to help your business appear on the first page of search results. Since search engines make the rules, and things change very frequently, we do not guarantee rankings. However, we guarantee that our efforts will make a positive difference to your online presence.

Why does my SEO strategy only include a few keywords?

Target keywords are based on the brand’s services or products. The number of keywords you can target will depend on what your offerings are and the online demand. Every SEO strategy is tailored to fit the business and target customer needs.

What does SERP mean?

SERP – stands for search engine results pages, which refers to the list of sites you’re presented with on Google or Bing after a search.

What is a DA or Domain Authority?

DA is a ranking metric developed by Moz, an SEO software company, to predict how likely a given website will perform on the SERPs. Websites get a score that ranges from one to 100, with a higher score corresponding to greater rank power.

What are backlinks? How do you implement them?

A backlink is a URL or link from an external website that points to yours. Links are acquired in three primary ways: outreach, link submissions, and content marketing. With outreach, the Upfire team will reach out to websites that meet certain criteria on behalf of the site needing a backlink. From there, we’ll negotiate a collaborative relationship with qualified sites. For instance, we can exchange free content or other value for a backlink. Link submissions involve submitting your website address or specific pages to platforms per any requirements. These sites then review the submission to ensure it meets standards before publishing. Content marketing is about creating useful, relevant content, such as blog posts or videos, to attract linkers and organic traffic. If your content is useful and relevant, people may link to it for several reasons. The link-building strategy is a bit more passive than link submissions and outreach.

How do I get my website to show up in the search results?

Adding your website to search engines is free and easy – no submission is required. Google and others fully automate discovery by using software known as web crawlers. These bots explore the Internet regularly to find and add pages automatically to the index. Your website will typically need one link from any external site (e.g., Twitter) to help the bots find it.

How long does SEO take?

SEO typically takes four to six months to start making an impact on rankings and revenue. However, SEO results grow over time, and some industries have a high level of competition, which can increase the time frame – the initial time it takes to start seeing results. You’ll need an SEO assessment of your website to know how long it may take to achieve the results desired.

How does SEO help my business?

SEO can help your business develop a robust web presence, which goes beyond search engine rankings. It includes ensuring your website is well designed, converts, and is user-friendly. It also includes optimizing social media channels, business directories, a company’s online reputation, and other digital profiles. SEO will help your company attract more customers, improve brand awareness, and repeat business.

Will I have to make a lot of changes to my website?

Usually, no. The only time a near-complete overhaul is necessary is if your website has too many alarming problems. For example, a website that's been 'shadow banned' or received a manual action from Google or Bing will likely need a total refresh. However, most websites usually require page-level tweaks, including content and backlink strategy implementation.

How do I get in touch with my brand manager?

You can email, text, call anytime, however, built into your reporting dashboard is a quick easy to use the messaging app. It allows us to streamline communication with us. Do not hesitate to reach out.

Why are my search results different on Google versus Microsoft Bing?

While similar, each search engine ranks web pages differently. Google and Bing use similar, but different search engine ranking factors and assign value to each differently. That’s why a particular web page can rank higher on Google but lower on Bing.

How do I know if I am getting good SEO results?

The three indicators to look for are traffic, leads, and customer acquisition. The main purpose of SEO is to increase traffic or the number of people that visit your website daily. If the website traffic you're receiving is relevant to your business, then you'll earn leads – people that show interest in your offerings. Treat your leads well, and you can acquire those people as customers.

What will SEO do for me? What is the value of SEO?

SEO gets the phones ringing and increases email inquiries – more potential customers will find you online and reach out for your business's solutions. Best of all, SEO has a compounding effect in that the impact of every effort piles up over time. Eventually, some companies can stop SEO and continue to reap the rewards: more traffic, leads, and sales.

How much is this going to cost me?

The investment varies. It’ll depend on your unique business situation, target audience, and objectives. We can work with you to determine the right budget to get the kind of results that’ll make your competitors jealous.

What is the difference between SEO and PPC?

PPC (pay-per-click) is paid traffic, while SEO is organic or naturally occurring traffic. You can spot companies using PPC and those utilizing SEO by looking at the search results on Google or Microsoft Bing. Paid ads always appear at the top, and organic listings influenced by SEO appear below those ads. Paid ads are exactly that! These links are paid for and appear at the top of search results pages based on the keywords and pricing bids created from an advertising platform, such as Google Ads. Search results, however, are organic! This means that the link itself isn’t a paid-for link. These links appear organically, or naturally, in search results. Search engines determine what links show up in search results based on relevancy to the keyword or search term being used.
